First semester is over - now what?

For our college freshmen the first semester is over and you are in the middle of winter break. Hopefully that means you are celebrating a successful transition to college, but that isn't going to be the case for everyone. Maybe things didn't go as well as you hoped and now you are facing academic probation or need to get your GPA up for a scholarship. It isn't the end of the world, but that doesn't mean that changes don't need to happen. Now is the time to think about what happened - was it too much socializing, not understanding how the online system worked, or not reading the syllabus until it was too late?
