The college application process can be overwhelming even for those who have been through it. If you are the first person in your family to go to college it can really be hard. To know where to start. One place to start your search to find those schools is to look at those ranked highly for social or economic mobility. Other options are to look at schools that offer programs you are interested in and then search their websites for their first gen programs. Some of them may be listed as TRIO or upward bound which are federal programs for students from different socioeconomic backgrounds.
