Decisions, Decisions

College acceptances are starting (or will soon) to roll in. Hopefully that means you have gotten good news from one or more schools. We'll talk about what to do next if you haven't gotten those acceptances later. Once you have your acceptances it may seem overwhelming to decide which place you want to go or you may have one place that was just perfect for you. If you are faced with a choice how do you begin to narrow down the choices or pick the best option. Here are a few factors to consider:

  1. Financial aid/ scholarships offered

  2. How do you feel about the campus?

  3. Is the location one you want to live in?

  4. What is freshman housing like?

  5. What is it like/ how much does it cost to travel home or to visit friends?

  6. How easy is it to get the courses you want?

These are just a few of the factors to consider but hopefully they help you narrow down your choices. Also check to see if the schools have an upcoming open house or even better an accepted students day so you can talk to professors and get on campus - especially if you haven't gotten there before. While this can seem like an impossible decision or one that you can't make a mistake without big consequences remember transfering is an option if it doesn't work out like you hoped. Feel free to reach out to what's next if you need help with how to choose.
